Is Michael's Dream Foundation a registered 501(c)3 charity?

Yes. Michael's Dream Foundation Inc. received it's 501(c)3 determination letter on June 29, 2013 which granted us federal tax-exempt status.  

What is the exact purpose of Michael's Dream Foundation?

Michael's Dream Foundation exists for the purpose of raising the capital and resources needed to improve children's healthcare globally, including the building of at least one new children's hospital.

Where will Michael’s Children’s Hospital be built?

Although we do not yet have a specific location for the physical hospital itself, it is still our primary long-term goal and we promise to keep everyone updated as we make progress of any kind. Please do add yourself to our mailing list and “Like” our pages on Facebook to make sure you don’t miss any important updates!

If you aren’t building a hospital yet, where does the “Hospital Fund” money go?

These funds are being held in a separate, designated account so when the time comes to move forward with the actual planning for the hospital we will already have some resources to get us started.

Why aren't you building a hospital yet?

We are a very small team of people with full-time jobs, kids and other personal responsibilities and we know that erecting a hospital of any kind is an enormous and complicated undertaking. Since we want to get it right the first time around, our strategy is to first build a strong base for Michael’s Dream Foundation by taking part in smaller, more manageable charitable projects such as the Michael’s Dream Box Program. It is also essential for us in these early stages to continue seeking as much support as possible from people, groups, other charities and organizations around the world which will ultimately strengthen our chances of realizing this Dream of a functioning hospital.

What can I do to help?

There is much work to be done and the one thing that every person can do to help is simply to spread the word! The farther our reach, the more support we will gain and the better the chances of seeing a children's hospital built in our lifetime.

Teams have become the structure of the Foundation and implemented for 4 key areas; Administrative, Promotions, Fundraising and Public Relations. If you feel you would be interested in helping us in any of these areas, we encourage you to visit the Volunteer section on this website and submit a Volunteer Application to join a team.

You may make a donation to one of 3 areas of focus: Michael's Dream Box Program, The Hospital Fund and The General Fund. 

If you are a member of a fan club, company or organization and would like to show your support, you can have our banner placed on your website. In return we will also place your banner on our website under the Link Partners section!

Where can I send a donation?

You may send a monetary donation via PayPal using one of the Donation links on our Donations page or you can send a donation via mail/postal service to the following address:

All checks must be made payable, in US Dollars, to Michael's Dream Foundation. Michael's Dream Foundation reserves the right to reject any donation received, if not made in the right currency.

Will I receive a receipt for my donation?

Yes.

If you send your donation via PayPal: you will receive a donation receipt by email.

If you mail a donation using check or cash: you will have the choice of receiving a receipt using either email or postal mail. It is important that if you wish to receive a receipt via email for your donation, you MUST include a valid email address with your donation. Likewise, if you wish to receive a receipt back via postal mail, you MUST include a return address either on the outside or inside of your envelope.

Where does the money from donations go?

You can now tell us where you would like your money to go! On our Donations page you can select whether you want your donation to go towards the Hospital Fund, The Dream Box Program or General funds.

Where does the money from your store sales go?

100% of the profits from every store sale will go directly into the Michael's Dream Foundation bank account and will be used to further the foundation's charitable purposes (i.e. donating toys to hospitals, supplying hospitals with playrooms or building a children's hospital).
